Before you call "clickbait" on me, let me explain: in this video, I’m building one of the MANY possible configurations of the Chucktenna, a highly versatile portable antenna. While I construct it, I’ll show you just how easy it is to adapt and create multiple configurations to fit your operating needs. The Chucktenna (Named after the companies Chief Executive Pup (CEP)) is what I believe could become one of the most universal portable antennas out there. It is my opinion this antenna has the flexibility to meet many demands of portable use. I've spoken about how I got into radios and the desire to get more and more contacts, it started when I was super young. Today, I want to share a story about what CB antenna got me hooked on The DX Craze of 2010-2011 (11M). Then I will activate a park WITH THAT ANTENNA (10M) In hindsight, it was a combination of a better antenna, a solar cycle peaking and much more. I felt like this antenna was my realization that all antennas and gear aren't equal. All together, THIS (right now) is the PERFECT time to get new people hooked on radio! Go show them a contact around the world! Anyway, no real point, kind of just vlogging, kind of just activating; but also, I do believe that these style videos can be very motivating for people to get involved in radio. Cheers.

Portable Mast Comparison: Gigaparts Explorer POTA 20 and HRD LD6
This is just a sneak peak of something i am working on. In the future, I would like to make some changes: 1. Stronger netting, without gaining too much weight. 2. Quick connects/Disconnects on the 550 cords, so rotating could happen in just a moment or two, while outdoors 3. Possibly use something like a military gummy suit, or a SUPER lightweight tarp, so this could be used as SHELTER. Getting Started: Digirig DR-891 / Yaesu FT-891 Setup for WSJTX
I recently did a giveaway of about 40 BNC wire winders with BNC connectors as part of developing a new wire winder. This allowed me to gather valuable feedback from the ham community and offer a free tool to those without a 3D printer (only a $0.20 Etsy fee plus shipping). These tips are not indestructible: they can break. being gentle while extending and collapsing the tip is important. The mast is intended to have wire hung from it. If you want to extend larger objects, like the autotransformer from it, it may work, but you may need to exercise caution while doing so, as that is a lot of weight in a central location for a tip of 4.5mm to hold. With that, if you would like a 6mm OD cap, making your mast 5.6m instead of 6m, please let me know. The 6mm section of the mast is a little stronger due to the side and area. Overall, these turned out great and I am very happy with them! Shipping can be combined. The box is 18x3x3, which means I could most likely fit 3 in each box. This will save on shipping. Shipping is exact cost. Sorry if you think shipping is expensive, make a complaint to your USPS. WARNING: Watch your overhead surroundings. Carbon Fiber is conductive and you need to be aware of your surroundings. Not being alert to your surroundings will be the cause of your death. HRD Industries LD6 - Carbon Fiber Portable Ham Radio Mast - REVISED
